BSEC WG on Transport established Ad Hoc Working Group on the Development of the Motorways of the Sea. Three meetings were held – in 201, 2013 and 2015. Experts Correspondence Network assisted the Ad Hoc MoS Working group. The Joint Technical Secretariat of the Ad Hoc Working Group on the Development of the Motorways of the Sea in the BSEC Region works on BSEC MoS Master plan.
The JTS Office was assumed by the Ministry of Transport of Romania, through «C.N. Administratia Porturilor Maritime S.A. Constanta»(May 2015-30April 2017). The Joint Technical Secretariat (JTS), has the following working themes:
1- To draw up and facilitate the implementation of the Master Plan within MoS in the countries from the Black Sea Economic Cooperation region;
2- To develop the initiated projects, including to complete the MoS Master Plan, but also to launch new initiatives to the suggestions of the other Member States of the BSEC, on the margins of the provisions of the Memorandum of Understanding;
3- To identify converging points between the Master Plan of the port of Constanta and the MoS Master Plan, which can be used, on the basis of the European Union expertise, for the achievement of projects?
The BSEC Motorways of the Sea Master Plan most likely will be ready at the end of 2015.
