HSSA Awards Scholarships for Academic Year 2016–2017

Athens, January 26, 2017 – The Hellenic Shortsea Shipowners Association (EENMA) held its annual event at the Nautical Club of Greece, where it presented scholarships under the “EENMA Scholarship Programme” for the academic year 2016–2017.

The programme was further strengthened this year with the participation of Bureau Veritas and RINA, which contributed three additional scholarships, enhancing the range of opportunities available to students pursuing maritime studies.
The scholarship programme included the postgraduate scholarship “Spyros Alexandratos,” established in memory of the Association’s late President, as well as postgraduate scholarships offered by Bureau Veritas and RINA. It also featured a seminar-based training scholarship from Rina Academy, along with scholarships for postgraduate programmes such as the “MSc in Shipping” in collaboration with BCA College and the “MSc in Marine Engineering Management” offered in cooperation with the University of Greenwich and New York College.
During the ceremony, representatives of EENMA and sponsoring organizations presented the scholarships to distinguished students, recognizing their academic performance and commitment to the maritime sector.

The “Bureau Veritas” Scholarship was awarded to A. Karampetsou.
Τhe “RINA” Scholarship was presented to P. Doganis.
The “Rina Seminars” scholarship was awarded to Ms. Papalou,
Τhe “MSc in Shipping” scholarship was presented to Vasileios Sideris.
Through its scholarship programme, HSSA continues to invest in the education and development of young professionals, supporting the future of Greek shipping and reinforcing the link between academia and the maritime industry.
