The aim of the programme is to financially support students with limited economic resources who wish to pursue maritime studies, while at the same time rewarding academic excellence.
The Hellenic Shortsea Shipowners Association (HSSA) announces the 11th Scholarship Programme for the academic year 2025–2026, which includes the following scholarships.
The deadline for submitting applications is 9 January 2026. All supporting documents must be sent by post to the HSSA Secretariat.
Applications are evaluated by the Scholarship Evaluation Committee, taking into consideration the following criteria:
Annual scholarship of €5,000, established in memory of Spyros Alexandratos, former President of the Association. It is awarded for postgraduate studies in Maritime Studies in Greece for the academic year 2025–2026.

An annual postgraduate scholarship of €5,000 is offered by Bureau Veritas for postgraduate studies in Maritime Studies in Greece for the academic year 2025–2026.

Additional Condition:
Applicants must not have received any scholarship or financial support from another public or private institution for the academic year 2025–2026.
An annual postgraduate scholarship of €5,000 is awarded by Load Line Marine SA for postgraduate studies in Maritime Studies in Greece for the academic year 2025–2026.

An annual postgraduate scholarship of €5,000 is offered by SPANOPOULOS GROUP to a member of the Hellenic Coast Guard (H.C.G.) for postgraduate studies in Maritime Studies in Greece for the academic year 2025–2026.

An annual postgraduate scholarship of €5,000 is offered by the Hellenic Short Sea Shipowners Association (EENMA), in memory of its long-serving Director, Georgios Vozikis, for postgraduate studies in Maritime Studies in Greece for the academic year 2025–2026.

Scholarships are offered to the top-ranking graduates of the academic year 2024–2025 from the Postgraduate and Undergraduate Programs of the Department of Shipping and Business Services at the University of the Aegean, based on their academic performance.
Eligibility Criteria
To be awarded the scholarship, the graduate must not have received a scholarship from any other source.

Scholarship for Specialized Training Seminars at RINA Academy.
A scholarship is offered by RINA Hellas for participation in specialized training seminars at RINA Academy.
Required Documents
An annual scholarship of €1,500 is awarded in memory of Evdokia Gerasimou, mother of the Legal Advisor of the Hellenic Short Sea Shipowners Association (HSSA), Mr. N. Gerasimou. The scholarship is offered within the Law School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
It will be awarded to the top-ranking student of the Postgraduate Program in Commercial Law, specializing in Maritime Law, for the academic year 2024–2025.
Eligible Candidates
Eligible candidates are students currently at the stage of submitting their Master’s thesis, which will be evaluated by the University by January 20, 2026.

Candidates must apply through the coordinating committee of the aforementioned postgraduate program and submit the following supporting documents by December 30, 2025:
