The Government of China is interested in investments in the ports of Varna and Burgas
Government delegation from the People’s Republic of China, led by Deputy Chairman of the National Development and Reform Commission/NDRC of China, Mr. Ning Jizhe (Minister level) visited and examined the port infrastructure of Bulgarian maritime cities – Varna and Burgas.
The delegation – more than 30 executive managers, representatives of the China Development Bank, China Railway Corporation, China Shipping Corporation/COSCO, CCCC International and more, got acquainted with investment opportunities in transport infrastructure of the both ports- intermodal ferry terminals and highways, as well as opportunities for development of the corridor across the Black Sea.(Intermodal links – Central Eastern Europe-Varna/Burgas/Poti-China)
«The goal is to develop ports in Varna and Burgas as a destination for logistics, transport and tourism. After the visit we will expect proposals from the Chinese side for cooperation.
We want to concretize the partnership so as to proceed with real actions, «said Mr. Anton Ginev,Deputy Minister of Transport of Bulgaria.
